Ministry: greek word: υπουργείο (neuter) 2. ( Religion) κλήρος (masculine) derives from minister
The Apostle Paul charged Timothy to fulfill his ministry, to endure suffering, and always be sober-minded in his work as an evangelist.
That charge is still in action today at Crossway. Our mission is to be Ambassadors for Christ in discipling the body of believers and serving God in sharing the gospel with those who are seeking hope and assurance in Christ. God has provided so many opportunities to serve and encourage our communities. Here are just a few of the ministry programs that Crossway has been blessed with.
Centered on helping students grow in their faith as they learn to love God, love people, and love His Word. Equips young people to live out their faith boldly and authentically through meaningful relationships, engaging Bible studies, and service opportunities. Seeks to create a Christ-centered community where every student feels valued, supported, and called to a deeper walk with Jesus.
YOUTH MINISTER: Joel Bailey
Small groups embody the spirit of the early churches as we read about in Acts—they exist for the purpose of sharing the joys and burdens of each member of the body. God calls us to love, not in an abstract or superficial way, but in a deep, face-to-face, life-on-life, transformative way. The Church, like any family, is God’s plan for people to engage with one another, knowing that He never intended for us to live the Christian life alone.
A structured, Christ-centered initiative designed to deepen biblical knowledge, strengthen faith, and equip participants for practical Christian living. Through interactive classes, scripture study, and group discussions, adults of all backgrounds are encouraged to grow spiritually and apply God’s Word to everyday life.
Seeks to create opportunities to build stronger friendships among our women and provide spiritual encouragement and mentoring to each other so that we can grow in our faith and faithfulness in our roles as women of God. Strives to serve one another and those in our community. Creates opportunities to connect and build relationships with those seeking to know God in their lives. Also coordinates the Senior Citizen Meals the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month.
Strives to create a happy, joyful experience with sound biblical teaching that instills a love of God and builds children’s faith. Seeks to strengthen each child’s spiritual path with their families, friends, community, and peers at Crossway Church of Christ. Crossway members interested in working with children birth-5th grade may serve as a Bible class teacher, helper, second service nursery attendant, and or special event volunteer (VBS, Egg Hunt, Trunk or Treat, etc.).
