Ministry: greek word: υπουργείο (neuter) 2. ( Religion) κλήρος (masculine) derives from minister
The Apostle Paul charged Timothy to fulfill his ministry, to endure suffering, and always be sober-minded in his work as an evangelist.
That charge is still in action today at Crossway. Our mission is to be Ambassadors for Christ in discipling the body of believers and serving God in sharing the gospel with those who are seeking hope and assurance in Christ. God has provided so many opportunities to serve and encourage our communities. Here are just a few of the ministry programs that Crossway has been blessed with.
We are blessed with outstanding teachers and leadership that both encourage and mentor our young people in gaining a deeper understanding of Christ. We maintain a culture of acceptance that demonstrates love and compassion towards one another. Teenagers face and endure so many challenges in today’s social media circles, from their peers at school, and by just watching the news! So it’s vitally important to provide a solid foundation both at home and with church activities to equip them for the pressures to overcome some of today’s cultural and social pressures.
YOUTH MINISTER: Joel Bailey
Small groups exist as a way for people to engage in a biblical community that helps them become more like Jesus in every area of their lives. God never intended for us to live the Christian life alone. God calls us to love, not in an abstract or superficial way, but in a deep, face to face, life-on-life, transformative way. We meet in one another’s homes, at a favorite restaurant or at a local park on sunny afternoon. All of our groups break bread and share in God’s word, and more importantly, provide support and prayers for one another. Small Groups meet on various days and times throughout the week, so contact us to find a group in your area that fits your schedule by emailing us at office@crosswaycelina.com today!
Crossway offers Bible classes for all stages of life—young families, young professionals, senior adults, and everyone in between. We are blessed to have excellent teachers equipped to share God’s word and lead our bible classes. We emphasize a fundamental bible focus as the basis for all topical studies and real-life applications. Our teachers encourage a discussion format designed to encourage members to engage and contribute to the value of our time together. Our mission is to grow in the knowledge of God’s word. Come join us for a relaxed and inviting atmosphere every Sunday. We’ll keep the coffee fresh.
The Crossway Women’s Ministries create opportunities to build stronger friendships, provide spiritual mentoring, outreach to faith seekers, and support as they strive to raise Christ-based families in today’s climate. There are several different ministries such as Heartfelt Women’s Ministry, congregational fellowships, and Women’s Day Out programs designed to strengthen the Crossway Women as they reflect Christ in their individual lives, the lives of their families and marriages.
Children are the future of Crossway, and it’s our responsibility as parents, grandparents and Christians to encourage and raise them to walk with the Lord.
Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! Psalm 127:3-4
With so many young families blessed with children, we have provided classroom environments for each age group as a part of early childhood learning. Teaching bible stories, parables and the fundamental truths of God’s word, our children bring us great joy and deserve to be celebrated, nurtured and filled with confidence as they grow in their understanding of the bible. We adhere to a strict policy of screening all qualified teachers (background check) to ensure the safety and protection of our children at Crossway.
Even though we are a very young church, Crossway is already involved in supporting numerous missionaries throughout the world and efforts to evangelize and spread the good news of Christ throughout North Texas.
